I totally agree. Great post here, with this exception. In the religious climate we live in there are so many who want to distort what the Bible clearly says and only apply bits and pieces to their lives. But like you say, we must take the whole Word into context if we are to be as God wants us to be. I agree wholeheartedly with you have written here but I just had one note to add to #5. I don't believe that God's Word indicates any kind of "once saved, always saved" slant at all. In fact I believe the Bible to say that there are those that once believed but fell away and were lost again. I think we can be lost again if we let our lives take the wrong direction. Of course not attending church a few times or listening to music that is not uplifting is not going to remove us from being saved if we are truly aspiring to live our life for Christ. But I do believe people can remove themselves from God's grace and mercy. I will just leave with these verses that back up what I'm saying from Hebrews chapter 3.

14 We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. 15 As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." 16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed ? 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.Aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09635324534045126447noreply@blogger.com
